Start your visit to the Gerrit Smith Estate with a stop at the "The Lodge".

The Estate building known as "The Lodge" now serves as the Visitors Center for the Gerrit Smith Estate.  Stop by before you start your tour of the Estate, and watch a short orientation video on the life of Gerrit Smith.  

The Lodge also serves as the home of the Smithfield Mercantile, a gift shop that carries books, mugs, T-shirts, and other Gerrit Smith items.

The Gerrit Smith Estate is now OPEN for the season.

The grounds are open for self guided tours from dawn to dusk every day.

The Visitors Center, Mercantile, Barn and Land Office are open on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 5 PM.
